Siemens Hands-On Events (Limit 16)

1:00 – 2:50: Make your machine as safe as a Fortress!!

Providing a safe and efficient work environment for industrial manufacturing is critical to ensure the protection of employees while maintaining a high level of quality and increased production. This increase in production is only possible with innovative engineering solutions with safety integrated. You will learn the basics of how to Identify, Assess and Reduce Risk using TIA Portal, SIMATIC S7-1200F PLC and FORTRESS Interlocks on a typical machine.

3:00 – 5:00: Integrating SINAMICS drives into EtherNet / IP-based systems

Siemens has launched its second generation of instruction sets to make integration into Studio 5000 software very intuitive and extremely simple. With the use of “Integrated Drive Profiles”, SINAMICS drives are easily selected from the product library and use the same configuration tools as AB drives. V2.0 now allows for fault and alarm diagnostics to be fully visible in the FT View — alarm banners and descriptive diagnostic information are now available within the pre-developed free faceplate files. Integration between a VFD and HMI has never been so simple — one tag is used to connect all features of the faceplate directly to the drive from the PLC program, simplifying configuration and reducing the opportunity to make mistakes.
